So… things looking a bit dry on the dating home front, are they? A tad boring in your native bedroom, hm? Getting sort of dull at home actually apparently not so sweet home? That’s alright, it happens to all of us (except Spaniards, doesn’t happen to them at all… just… you’ll see). Don’t worry, it’s not you, but it may be your country. OnePoll.com surveyed 15,000 women from various countries around the world to find out which nations, at least by popular belief, have the best and worst lovers, and the results are here to help out any travelers looking to try out one of those exciting love affairs abroad to narrow down their options. The poll supposedly required the participants to indicate what factors lead to their ranking choices, and the countries who were determined to have the worst lovers had a list of reasons ranging from personal hygiene, to timing, to being too far on either end of the emotional spectrum (some were too gushy and lovey, while some made the list for being too rough, dominating and selfish). However for some unknown reason, while the factors for being the worst at love were published, the poll never seemed to clue us in to why the best countries are so good at doing, you know, what they do.

Well, there’s only one way to find out? As travel freaks it’s kind of our responsibility to, um, acquire this information. Because that’s what travel is all about right? Wait, no, not that, just the part about discovering the ins and outs of what makes other cultures different and, no I mean, you know… because a better understanding of the world leads to a better understanding of our own cultures which can help us grow and improve? Yeah let’s go with that one. Anyways, check out the list below, and get packing!

Do you agree with these rankings?

American by chance, but Roman by choice, Sarah is currently feeding her adventurous soul with expatriatism and pizza. Her finest moments are always on the wrong bus with a backpack and an upside down map, waiting to see what the world’s got for her next, so long as she can blog about it. She likes writing more than talking, dolphins more than humans, old movies more than new, and Rome more than anything else.
