When I was younger, I had a stuffed mouse who was my best friend. Sadly, I ended up losing my friend in a cab at the young of 3, and never saw him again.
So, when I read that the staff at Toronto Pearson International Airport not only found a little girl’s lost bear, but also took him on a fun ride before he headed home, well, let’s just say I wanted to move to Canada.
Here’s the story: A little girl named Phoebe Steel lost Ra Ra (her bear) while traveling through Pearson. When the Steel family realized Ra Ra was missing, Phoebe’s dad took to Facebook to let the airport know.
Well, lo and behold, Ra Ra was found sitting in a lost-and-found drawer. But before he could go straight back home to Saskatchewan, he of course needed to go through security, take a sidewalk to his flight, cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays and meet some new friends.
The staff documented his journey, and well, it just filled everyone’s heart, including little Phoebe who was more than happy to be reunited with her Ra Ra. “Thank you to everyone at Toronto aiport. Ra Ra is home and I have one very happy little girl. You went above and beyond to reunite a little girl and her bear. She also loves the suprise little bear that was in there as well. Thanks again. The Steel Family,” wrote Phoebe’s mom, Jen Heuvelmans Steel.
We thought everyone could use a little pick-me-up story.
