As travel freaks, we often forget all that the United States has to offer since the rest of the world is just so great. There are a lot of amazing places to visit in our home country, and you’ll probably be able to do so on a much lesser budget and without jet-lag, as opposed to many international destinations. Trip Advisor recently published its list of the top places to visit in the United States in 2014. We picked out our ten favorites. Check them out below:

1. Boston, Massachusetts

Boston is home to a slew of the country’s most pivotal historical events. Fenway Park, The Freedom Trail, and the Italian restaurant-ridden North End are just a few of the must-see attractions in Boston.

2. Chicago, Illinois

The windy city is one of the most underrated places in America. Trust us, there is so much more to it than that giant bean.

3. Houston, Texas

The only reason you need to visit Houston: Beyonce. The singer was born and raised in this Texas city.

4. Miami Beach, Florida
