You can’t remember if you embarrassed yourself (you probably did,) your head hurts, gosh your entire body hurts. Your phone is missing, and so is your dignity. The morning after a night of drinking is probably one of the most horrible feelings, that can actually be prevented. No, I am not going to tell you in order to prevent a hangover, just don’t drink, and I’m not going to tell you to try and just limit to yourself to two drinks. Although that would be great advice and all, it just wouldn’t be realistic. Normally on Thursdays, we give you a list of different cocktails to try, or the best breweries all over the world, so I thought this week we’d give you a solution to the problem we sometimes may influence. So, here’s a roundup of the five best hangover cures. And no, it isn’t greasy food. These are all healthy. You know, that way you can redeem yourself for poisoning your body the night before, and possibly take back everything you did to your liver with these simple foods and drinks.
Eggs:
Due to the amount of cysteine, they actually help absorb all of the leftover alcohol in your body. No more going to McDonald’s and getting a Big Mac. Instead, stay in your pajamas and whip up some of these.

Coconut water:
Potassium is the key element here. It is known for making you feel better, and coconut water carries more of it than bananas do. And it tastes pretty sweet too! This is the perfect way to re-hydrate yourself.

Coffee:
Feeling like you have a cloudy head? This kind of hangover deserves a good old cup of Joe because it will perk up your brain activity. It may even help you remember a little more from the night before than you’d like. Caffeine also naturally dilates blood vessels, curing headaches too.

Soup:
This isn’t just the cure to a sore throat or cold. Eat soup so that the salt helps you retain water. This works best after a night of puking. Plus, it’s easy to make, and it tastes great. Go for tomato.

Green tea:
Drinking this will help you recover because it is full of antioxidants, keeping your cells and organs in check. You at least owe that to your liver, don’t you? Rosemary and lavender tea will calm a nauseous stomach.
