Let’s face it: we’ve been longing for April ever since we rang in the New Year. And finally, it’s here! With the snow completely melted and warmer days on the way, we can officially look forward to the Easter holiday and all the awesome springiness it brings (we’re mostly referring to Easter candy, of course).
In celebration, we’re bringing you 7 of the most colorfully delicious, Easter inspired cocktails to help you get “hopped” up on the holiday spirit. We recommend enjoying them with a Reese’s peanut butter egg…or five.
1. Blue Basketini
Ingredients:
- Corn Syrup
- Green-tinted coconut
- 1 ounce Smirnoff® Fluffed Marshmallow Vodka
- 1 ounce blue curaçao
- 1 ounce light cream or half-and-half
- Sprinkle with ground nutmeg
- 1 Peep® chick
Directions: Moisten the rim of your martini glass with corn syrup and dip in green-tinted coconut. Shake Smirnoff® Fluffed Marshmallow Vodka, blue curaçao, and a handful of ice together. Strain into glass and then stir in light cream or half-and-half. For the finishing touches, sprinkle with ground nutmeg and cut a slit in bottom of a Peep® chick and place on the rim of the glass.
2. The Fizzy Bunny
Ingredients:
- 1 part chilled carrot juice
- 1 part fresh squeezed orange juice
- 3-4 parts champagne or prosecco sparkling wine
- dash of cayenne
- orange slices
Directions: Chill a champagne glass. Mix ingredients together and serve with orange slices for garnish.
3. The Easter Basket
Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces of cherry vodka
- 0.5 ounce of Triple Sec
- 3 ounces of half and half or milk
- dash of grenadine
- 1 Peep® chick
Directions: Moisten rim of martini glass and decorate with sprinkles or green tinted coconut flakes. Shake ingredients with ice until chilled and serve with Peep garnish.
4. Flower Power Martini
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces of orange jelly bean vodka
- 1 ounce of fresh squeezed blood orange juice
- 3/4 ounce of St. Germain elderflower liqueur
- orange slice or jelly beans on a skewer
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orange wheel. Garnish with a slice of blood orange or a few jelly beans on a skewer.
5. Pink Bonnet
Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces of gin
- 0.5 ounce of simple syrup
- 3/4 ounce of lemon juice
- 2 dashes of crème de framboise or grenadine (for color)
- white of a small egg
Directions: Shake all ingredients without ice in order to emulsify the egg white. Then, shake all ingredients with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
6. Marshmallow Peep Martini
Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces of fluffed marshmallow vodka
- 0.5 ounce of vanilla syrup, extra for rim
- 1 ounce of cream
- sugar
Directions: Pour a small amount of vanilla syrup onto one plate and sprinkle sugar onto another plate. Dip rim of glass in syrup and then into sugar to coat. Put vodka, syrup and cream in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into glass.
7. Caramel Cadbury Egg Martini
Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces of Bailey’s Irish Cream with Caramel
- 0.5 ounce of crème de cacao
- 1 ounce of caramel syrup
- 1 ounce of cream
- 1/2 tablespoon Hershey’s chocolate syrup, plus extra for rim
Directions: Drizzle chocolate syrup around inside rim of glass. Shake all ingredients with ice until chocolate syrup is completely incorporated. Strain into glass.
