Sunday is Easter, just a reminder. Arguably one of the best chocolate holidays. If there are children in your life in some capacity, then you may be gearing up for an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, but some cities have been having Easter egg hunts all month long in order to celebrate. CNN did a roundup of the best Easter egg hunts around the world, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that one of the hunts featured was one from our very own backyard: The Big Egg Hunt hosted by Faberge in NYC.
Last year the Faberge Big Egg Hunt was held in London, but until April 25th, the hunt can be found in the five boroughs of New York City. There are 300 eggs in total, each designed by the likes of Zaha Hadid, Diane Von Furstenberg, Marchesa, Bruce Weber and more. People are encouraged to download the accompanying app, and there are prizes in the form of Faberge pendants to win by finding the most eggs. Unfortunately if you find the eggs you don’t get to keep them, like a normal Easter egg hunt, but it is still a pretty fun game to play around the city, and the eggs are beautiful. Plus, it all benefits arts education in NYC. We think that is pretty damn cool.
We rounded up a few of our favorites from Twitter and Instagram and we are certainly going to keep looking for them ourselves until the installation is removed on April 25th. Are you a part of #BigEggHuntNY?
