Disneyland lovers, you’re in for a real treat.
The happiest place on earth is about to become a lot bigger! According to The Los Angeles Times, the Walt Disney Company has purchased three parcels of land near its Anaheim, California resort!
So does this mean a new park? Better attractions? More Mickey Mouse?! Not necessarily. The land will be used for a bunch of boring stuff. “With the resort’s continued growth resulting in additional cast members and a record number of guests, this property will help to support additional infrastructure needs, including warehouse and office space and parking, Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown told the times.
On the plus size, this could free up some space to spotlight on Star Wars and Marvel, which have both been acquired by Disney. “It’s really a no-brainer that Star Wars will take over at Disneyland and Marvel will probably go into Disney California Adventure,” said Todd Regan, founder of the Disney blog site MiceChat.com,
Well that’s pretty exciting isn’t it? And it all makes sense. Disneyland promised the city to spend at least $1 billion on new attractions and a parking structure. We imagine that the parking structure won’t be most of the expense!
