Cast of "Friends" on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno"

Now every 20-something that moved to New York City because Friends was their favorite show growing up can finally live out their dreams. No, we are not saying that nice apartments are suddenly going to be affordable for Millenials in the best neighborhoods, but there is a Central Perk pop up coming to SoHo (even thought the real/fake Central Perk was in Greenwich Village.)

Starting September 17th and lasting for an entire month, Friends fans and lost tourists will have a chance to take a selfie on the iconic orange couch to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show which started in 1994. The show is one of the most successful sitcoms of all time and still has a following of fans that dreamed of living in the big city with their five best friends. The pop-up will feature Eight O’Clock coffee who has created a special Central Perk blend which will be sold across the country. The coffee shop will also be doing some promotions including visits from Gunther and something special on September 29th which is National Coffee Day.

The pop-up will be open from 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 8pm on weekends.  We expect lines to be longer than the one for a cronut but we’re pretty positive it is going to be worth it. Because come on, Friends is the only reason we live in this city anyway. All the coffee shop needs is Phoebe singing “Smelly Cat” but is Lisa Kudrow isn’t available, we totally volunteer to do it ourselves. We’ll even try to catch a cold first.

Will you go to the Central Perk pop up?
