A Royal Guard or “bearskin” at the Buckingham Palace has the job of guarding the residency of Queen Elizabeth. However, marching back and forth in front of a building for two hours can sometimes be a little, er, boring. So, back in August, one of the guards (who was being recorded) decided to bust a move John Cleese-style during his shift — pretty harmless, right? Well, the British Army doesn’t think so.
According to the Guardian, the army has launched a major investigating to find out who the soldier is in the video. “Anyone who is found to fall short of the Army’s high standards can expect to face appropriate action,” a spokesperson for the Army and Ministry of Defense told The Daily Beast. Yikes! Not only did the guard do some twirling and slow-mo walking, but he also shined his guard box.
We’re sure it was all in good fun for the tourists who were video tapping him, but the job of protecting the Queen (and any other member of the Royal Family) isn’t something to be taken lightly. We’re dying to know what the Queen has to say about this (the caption for the video says she was on holiday). This, and the guard who later in August made a funny face for a photo.

Could it be the same guy? We don’t know, but we do know that Queen Elizabeth does have a sense of humor. Remember that time she let them perform the Game of Thrones theme song? Yeah, that was great.
Do you think the Royal Guard should get in trouble?
